Olzhas Nurlanov is a talented accordion player from Pavlodar, Republic of Kazakhstan. Born on July 17, 1999, he began his musical career at the age of 6, entering the first class of the State Institution "Complex "Musical College - Music Boarding School for Gifted Children" in the accordion class. His first teacher, father and honorary worker of education of Republic of Kazakhstan, Alimkulov Meirman, instilled in him a passion for music from the very beginning.
Olzhas Nurlanov first showed himself on the world stage by participating in the first international competition at the age of 8, where he became a laureate of the 3rd degree and the youngest participant. During his school years, he won recognition, becoming a laureate of 19 competitions, including impressive achievements:
1. Victory at the Astana-Merey International Competition in 2009.
2. Grand Prix at the Siberian International Competition in Kemerovo, 2010.
3. First solo concert at the Music College in Pavlodar, 2011.
4. Grand Prix of the International Accordion Competition "Friedrich Lips Cup" in 2011.
5. Participation in the International Festival of Accordion Music "Bayan and Bayanists" in the city of Moscow in 2011.
6. Musical performance for the presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2012.
7. First place in the International Accordion Competition in the city of Tianjin, China in 2012.
8. Participation in the XI International Festival of the Charitable Foundation V. Spivakov "Moscow meets friends" in 2014.
Olzhas Nurlanov is a musician whose masterly skills are fascinating, and his work continues to inspire and collect enthusiastic reviews around the world.
Continuing his studies at the music college, Olzhas Nurlanov immerses himself in the world of art under the guidance of the Honored Artist of Tatarstan and Professor of KazNUA, Damir Sultanov. At this stage of his musical path, he not only masters technical skills, but also acquires a refined taste, a unique vision of music and a sense of harmony.
During his studies at the college, Olzhas becomes the winner of 15 competitions, where every note, every chord become an integral part of his creative personality:
1. The first place and the diploma "For the best performance" at the International Competition of Performers of Folk Instruments "Prikamye-2014" in Perm.
2. Grand Prix at the All-Russian Festival-Competition of Young Performers named after N.L. Tulunina in Krasnoyarsk.
3. Mastering the stage and the audience award at the Republican variety competition "GOLD ACCORDION" in Astana.
4. Second place at the International Accordion Competition in Klingenthal, Germany with an invitation to concerts in Slovakiа.
5. Victory at the International Competition of Performers of Folk Instruments named after V.P. Pletnev in Kazan.
6. Completion of the stage with a bright solo concert "Life in Music..." in the State Concert Hall named after Yestai the city of Pavlodar.
In 2018, Olzhas Nurlanov went to the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, where he began his creative ascent under the guidance of Professor, People's artist of Russia Friedrich Lips. Immersed in his studies, he actively toured both in Russia and abroad, becoming the winner of 8 competitions, including:
1. 2nd place at the international competition "PIF Castelfidardo" in Castelfidardo, Italy.
2. Victory at the international competition "Eurasia - III" in Yekaterinburg.
3. Grand Prix of the V All-Russian Open Competition of Performers of Folk Instruments named after I.Y. Panitsky in Saratov.
4. First place at the 74th International Accordion Competition "Coupe Mondiale" ("World Cup") in Munich, Germany.
At the age of 24, Olzhas is a participant and winner of more than thirty competitions of various levels. Repeatedly he entered into a duel with musical challenges, performing in front of the top officials of Russia and Kazakhstan. His talent wins the hearts of the audience, and he continues to spread the magic of his music on tours in various countries, including Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and many others.
